Farhood Zaafari Hashjin is a highly accomplished hospitality and culinary professional whose distinguished career spans culinary arts, hospitality management, education, research, and consultancy. He is an accomplished author of specialised books on culinary arts and hospitality, a respected food researcher, and a university lecturer who has educated and mentored students in hospitality, hotel management, and culinary arts.
He serves as the Managing Director of the Sadaf Restaurant Chain and Café, as well as the Managing Director of the International Chef Academy (I.C. Academy), an international culinary education institution recognised within the Worldchefs Community. Through the Academy, he has made a significant contribution to advancing culinary education, supporting the professional development of chefs, and fostering international collaboration among culinary and hospitality professionals.
In addition to his executive leadership roles, Mr Zaafari Hashjin is a highly regarded hospitality consultant, providing expert guidance in the planning, development, and establishment of hotels, restaurants, banquet halls, cafés, coffee shops, and fast-food operations.
Throughout his distinguished career, he has been awarded six prestigious professional diplomas by internationally recognised institutions and universities within the hospitality and food and beverage sector. He has also earned international recognition as a culinary judge and juror, officiating at numerous gastronomy festivals, culinary competitions, and professional culinary events worldwide.
Committed to the advancement of culinary education, he has established collaborative partnerships with hospitality universities and educational institutions, promoting professional training programmes and strengthening international cooperation within the culinary profession.
Among his most notable achievements is the authorship of the World’s First Culinary Oath, a landmark contribution that reflects his unwavering commitment to ethics, professionalism, leadership, and excellence within the global culinary community.
